Want to nurse in Dubai? Your license comes from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and the entire application runs through its online portal, Sheryan. You can complete almost everything from the Philippines — including the exam. Here are the steps in the exact order Sheryan expects them, as of 2026.
The Sheryan process, in order
Create your Sheryan account
Register on the DHA Sheryan portal with your passport details. Use your passport spelling everywhere — mismatched names are the #1 cause of delays.
Complete the self-assessment
Sheryan’s self-assessment tool checks your qualification, PRC license and experience against DHA requirements for Registered Nurse. Pass this and your application opens formally.
DataFlow verification (PSV)
DataFlow independently verifies your diploma, PRC license and employment certificates at the source. Typically the slowest stage — often 30–60+ days.
Sit the Prometric CBT
Once cleared to test, book the DHA computer-based exam through Prometric. Filipino candidates can typically sit it at centers in the Philippines.
Receive your eligibility letter
Pass the exam and DHA issues an eligibility letter — proof you’re licensable. It’s typically valid for a limited period (around a year), so time your job search accordingly.
Employer activates your license
Your DHA license only becomes active once a Dubai employer sponsors you and completes activation. This is where a confirmed job offer turns eligibility into a working license.
Document checklist
Prepare scanned color copies of: valid passport; PRC license plus a PRC Certificate of Good Standing; BSN diploma and transcript of records; experience certificates covering the required recent clinical experience (commonly around two years); and a recent photo. Keep names, dates and job titles consistent across everything.
